Sketchy Thursday 10.28

Here is this weeks layout for the sketchy thursday project 10.28. It's my first go at an online project and have really enjoyed it, so absolutely be doing it again soon.

The pictures are of a little port in Gran Canaria called Puerto de Morgan! It is nicknamed Little Venice, as it is a little piece of Italy on the island. The property prices there, were some of the highest of the whole Island. There were lots of great pictures to be taken, so i snapped away and was pleased with the results.

My Fashion Fix

OMG, I have just found these amazing heels on etsy and I think that they are absolutely fab! They would look great with a LBD or a pair of bright coloured tights and simple styling! I am 5ft 7 so these would make me so high but I am loving it. I love suede right now, and the platform keeps it from becoming a stiletto. Fab Fab Fab.

Tiger Taye!

This photo was taken on a trip to West Quay in the summer, They had a summer carnival event taking place and Taye tried on a giant tiger costume which was extremely heavy but so fun to see. He could barely hold it up so we had to help.

I love his little face peeking through the front, he looks sooooo cute. x

I'm Rubbish

I'ts true, i am truly rubbish at this blogging thing, but i am now going to start posting more often and take a lot more pictures! That also means that i will need to do some more crafting, but seeing as its Christmas soon (yay!) that won't be too hard. Just took a few pics of some cards i made or a friend ages ago but better late then never.

I have almost finished the mini book that I started at Shimelle's workshop at the S&C show. So thought that I would share some pictures with you. I wonder if Shimelle would want to see any of the books? I really enjoyed her class and hope that I am able to do more workshop's with amazing people.

My desk has been smothered with small butterfly punches that just seem to stick to everything. Even when I take off my socks, I find small butterflies on them!

Anyways hope you enjoy, I am grateful to any comments that any of you have.

Minibook Marvel!

After being so excited about meeting Shimelle, the day had finally come. The minibook class at the Stitch & Craft show was AMAZING! i was quite nervous about what to expect but really shouldn't have been. Shimelle was a teaching pro and allowed us to use all of her amazing martha stewart punches! Which are fab by the way.
When the class had finished, i was literally shaking! it was my first ever class and it was held by THE Shimelle Laine, double wammy!
I have nearly finished the mini book which i have created to be all about the relationship between myself and Taye. (pics coming soon)
I cant wait to take more classes and meet all my fave scrappers!

Butterfly magic

I just want to share a few pics with you from a recent project I set myself. I wanted to create a paper version of the old Victorian butterfly collages. I cut out 9x large and 9x small butterflies and made the body's by threading beads on top.




Now i just need to figure out where to put it!

Shimelle's request

So Shimelle has asked for layouts for an exciting new project (that can't be revealed just yet) to her website here.

I am going to submit (when her email is working again) 2 layouts that i have recently made, both of Taye i may add!

After importing 565 images to iphoto, i have eventually discovered how to resize them with the help from picnik online. So easy and so FREE! love it.

Anyway i must now indulge in my guilty pleasure of Glee. x

New Year, New Me

This year, i have made so many resolutions that i can hardly remember them all, they include taking more photos, baking on a tuesday and reading more literature!

Had so much fun in the snow recently, Taye loved it and didn't seem to feel much of the cold (which is probably a good thing seeing how cold it has actually been) So he just rolled around in the snow. We made a great snowman which we gave a book too. Then a few days later when we received some more snow, i built a snow doggy and little mouse. So cute!

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time there was a girl named Jenna, (that's me by the way) She decided that she wanted to write her own blog, how hard could it be she thought! so here i am, writing, hoping and wishing that someone out there wants to read this new little blog of mine.

Anyway, What is so special about today that makes me write? Well i have started to make a 'special collection' of cards to sell at a family friends craft fair in November. So far i have only made 2 cards. Not a huge amount i know but hey, it's better than one surely.  

So here is what i have created so far...

I made a cute little fish from scalloped paper and added little puffer stickers from Paperchase.

So now, its back to my little desk to make some more cards, oh and remove my little son Taye, who has been gently stuck to my left leg for the last 20 minutes, perhaps he needs feeding!   must remember that he is not a dog!
