JYC 2010 The end!

Day 31 - New Years Eve. Well I kept my page quite minimal as I thought that might reflect the way I spent my NYE! Kept it low key by having a little family shindig at my parents with yummy Chilli and Champers! Lush. I'm not too keen on NYE so it suited me perfectly!
Day 32(1st Jan) - New Years Day/Resolutions. Now my theory with resolutions is that the less you make, the less you break, Right? so my list starts with 'laugh more', which surely can't be that difficult for me.
I took Taye to a local riverside park, with my parents so that he could ride his new bike. At the end of the walk, we realised that the mini steam train was running so we hopped aboard and were completely smothered with the smoke! How the driver could see what he was doing is beyond me!

I know that the class continues until the 6th Jan, but I really can't fit any more inside so thought I would stop on the 1st.
Now I know that I said that this year I would finish my cover first but however I wanted to wait till I had completley finished inside. So here it is, full of glittery Thickers and puffy Making Memories letters. I bought the ribbon from the ribbon girl which I think looks so cute, and serves a purpose of actually stopping the book from exploding.
Didn't realise that I had used the same reindeer paper as my journal last year until afterwards!
Thanks for looking. You can see my complete album as a slideshow on the side of my blog or view it here
I will be starting a new class by Big Picture Classes soon, so come back to see how I am getting on.

  1. Well done Jenna! You did it! I still have two days to go - and I must admit: My Album is even thicker than yours - and I haven't thought of a ribbon to close it...
The pages are hold together with book rings, but there aren't bookrings in the world to hold all these pages! ... you will see it on Thursday! :-)

  2. your finished Album looks great! I love how you have kept the kraft theme going until the end. I reallly think I'm going to try Kraft pages next year. The ribbon is perfect! and once tied closed looks great and keeps your beautiful pages safe :) thanks for posting so we can see :)

  3. Laugh more sounds like a perfect New Year Resolution :)

Your finished album looks so touchable and lovely!

  4. Your album is fabulous, I love it! I didn't keep up with mine unfortunately, but I've journalled and kept momentoes all the way through so I could go back and do it but I guess that defeats the object right? lol

  5. Your album is lovely Jenna and I love how you did the front cover. I think I am going to need something to stop my album exploding too - I'm up to day 31! :)

  6. Your journal is lovely Jenna, all that gorgeous hand writing. Thank you for leaving a lovely comment on my Christmas Journal :)

  7. It's an absolutley fantastic journal! You should be so pleased with it. :oD
I love the finishing touches and tying it all up with that extra-wide ribbon, like a great big yummy Christmas present. :o)

  8. just browsing through the JYC posts, looking for my mojo to finish my project.
I love the effect that you managed to achieve throughout your journal.

  9. Oh wow...this is stunning!!!

I'm looking for blogs to feature on Scrapbooking Whimsy and this would be perfect for the mini album post coming up, if you'd be interested in sharing.
